Matri Sudha and IndianOil Unite for Menstrual Health

Sanitary Pads Now Available for ₹2 at Vending Machines Across 14 Delhi Metro Stations

Matri Sudha is proud to announce its partnership with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), to install sanitary pad vending machines at 14 key Delhi Metro stations. This initiative represents a significant step towards promoting women’s health, hygiene, and empowerment. It also aligns with IndianOil’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments and supports the objectives of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan by ensuring easy and affordable access to menstrual hygiene products for women commuters.

Key Features of the Initiative:

  • Accessibility: Vending machines are strategically placed at prominent locations within metro stations to guarantee easy access for women commuters.
  • Affordability: Sanitary pads will be available for a nominal price of Rs. 2 per pad, with payment options including UPI and coins, making them affordable for all.

The sanitary pad vending machines have been installed at the following metro stations: Saket, AIIMS, INA, Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi, GTB Nagar, Kashmere Gate, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, Lajpat Nagar, Govind Puri, Badarpur, and Kalkaji Mandir.

Help us to Fight Period Poverty by contributing a minimum Rs. 100.

In addition to the sanitary pad vending machines, Matri Sudha is extending its initiative by launching awareness campaigns in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL). These campaigns aim to educate women commuters about menstrual hygiene management and the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation. Through these efforts, the initiative strives to foster a culture of openness and health consciousness among women, especially in urban spaces.

Further Highlights of the Campaign:

  • Awareness Programs: Special workshops and informative pamphlets will be distributed across metro stations to educate women on menstrual health and hygiene.
  • Support Centers: Designated help desks will be available at select stations to offer assistance and guidance to women regarding the use of the vending machines and general health advice.

The campaign has also identified additional metro stations for future installations, including Jahangirpuri, Huda City Centre, Noida Sector 18, Dwarka Sector 21, and Botanical Garden, ensuring that this service reaches an even broader segment of women commuters in the capital city.

Your contribution can make a difference! Support the cause by donating Rs. 100 or more towards expanding this initiative to more stations.
